Terms of Tourism #5



41. Travel Trade : The collective term for tour operators, wholesalers and travel agents.


42. Tour Wholesalers : An individual or company that sells tour packages and tour product to travel agents.


43. Mission (Sales) : A promotional and sales trip coordinated by a state travel office, conventional and visitors bureau or key industry member to increase product awareness, sales and to enhance image.


44. International Marketing : Marketing a destination, product or service to consumers and the trade outside the of the United States.


45. Audit Coupon : All multi-part travel ticket, regardless of the mode of transport involved, have travel coupon which are collected from the passenger when the journey undertaken, and an audit coupon, used for accounting purpose.


46. Internal  Tourism : Comprises domestic tourism plus inbound tourism, that is to say, the activities of resident and non-resident visitors within the country of reference as part of domestic or international tourism trips.


47. Beauty Spot : A beautiful place in the countryside that attracts tourists.


48. Butlins : A group of British holiday camps (Group of buildings containing restaurants, swimming pools, bars, places to sleep, etc, where people can spend their holiday).


49. Guidebook : A book for tourist that provides information about a place.


50. Heritage Center : A building where tourists and other visitors get information about a place and its people, including information about the natural features of the area.
